Process
In any project I work on, my primary goal is the complete satisfaction of the client. In order to make sure this goal is met, I follow a general process that includes the following steps:

Understand

The first step to building a great site is to understand the client's needs and goals. This means listening very carefully and taking the time to get to know their business and their industry. Important questions to ask are: what kind of business do they have? Do they offer a product, a service or both? Who are their customers and clientele? These questions and others help to build a foundation upon which the site can be built. 

Plan

Careful planning is another crucial aspect of building a successful site. Once I have a fundamental understanding of the client's business goals, we can move on to crafting an effective strategy for the site. In the planning stage we formulate clear goals. We also think through as many details as possible. Some issues to be determined at this stage are: where will the content come from? How often will the site be updated? Who will update the site? 

Create

By the creation stage the look and feel of the site have already been decided on, including colors, page layout, navigational structure and all content related matters. 

Feedback

At every step of the design/creation stage, I get continuous feedback from the client to ensure that the site is progressing the way they want it to. 

Test

Before putting the site online, every facet of the pages must be thoroughly examined and checked. The links must be verified, all scripts must be debugged and tested on various platforms, the images must be optimized for fast downloading, the HTML should be validated to avoid errors, etc. 

Launch

Putting the site online means ensuring that the hosting set up is working properly. The domain name will already have been registered and mapped to the proper IP address. The email must be working properly. The pages have all been checked and uploaded to the server. If all this checks out, we're go for launch! 

Promote

Promoting a site throughout the web is one of the most crucial aspects of the entire process. Getting the site listed on important search engines and finding relevant advertising forums is vital to getting and keeping traffic.
